"Weaken them more and more until they are merely dust that you can easily blow away with a single breath."
Relax and know. Be comforted in your own skin and your own being. Find and have comfort in your own skin, yourself, your own particular ways of being. Be comforted. Know that all is well. Know that everything is as it should be. Know that you can continue to let go of the fears as you come face to face with them and stroll past them. Realize it takes energy, courage, and willpower, but not tremendous amounts. Realize it is only your intellect telling you stories in an attempt to keep you in the same familiar place you are at any given time.
Continue to weaken the fears. Weaken them more and more until they are merely dust that you can easily blow away with a single breath. Weaken the fears as they arise. Do not infuse them with your energy; they hold no power over you. You are mastering your emotions. Your awareness of these emotions as they rise is growing more acute.
You weaken them by not infusing them with thought, attention, nor energy. It is an excellent practice. It is an excellent way to move forward. It is a fantastic skill to hone. Hone it further and further toward mastery. Face your fears and let them disintegrate before your very eyes. Honor your heart and mind by having the courage to face them. Realize how powerless they are over you when you see them for what they really are – blockages to prevent you from moving forward on your journey.
Notice when your innate response is not one of fear but of curiosity. In an effort to keep you safe and protected, some part of your intellect creates a fear story, a narrative that triggers that fight or flight response. It is in this very moment that you can breathe into your heart and relax. Breathe in. Relax. Let yourself know that all is well. Remind that part of your mind that you are okay; you are more than okay. Let the curious & courageous parts of you rise and take over the reigns. Let the curious and courageous parts of you acknowledge the other part for its effort, acknowledge it and release its hold over you. Repeatedly meet the sensation (or interpretation) of fear, acknowledge it and do your best to release it. This is the process.
