You are training your body to tune into other energies. You are conditioning your will and will power to act on your behalf. You are exercising your right to choose. You are deciding for yourself what is important to you. You are choosing, deciding, unravelling the mysteries of life that are currently unknown in your experience. You are allowing your curiosity to be satisfied in some way or another.
As you train your body and call upon your will, you are strengthening yourself. It is a pursuit worth pursuing. The reason you require this shift is to facilitate the letting go of your identity, create more time to develop yourself further and tune into that which remains a mystery. Change is hard. It is easier to stay the course because momentum is with you.
What you are doing now – changing internal direction - requires starting your internal engine nearly from scratch every day. It requires will, energy & focus. Think about the steps required to start your snow blower – insert the ignition key, open the fuel shut-off valve, turn the on switch to on, pump the primer bulb, pull the starter cord repeatedly and then ease the throttle from slow to fast. That is a lot of steps for starting that machine; much more than you are used to. You are used to putting a key in the ignition and voila, the car is on. You flip a switch and instantaneously, you have light. In much of your life experience, only one touch is required to make something work.
Learning to use your body as an instrument of consciousness is entirely different during the learning process. Once you have dedicated yourself to it, practiced it, attuned to it, allowed yourself to get used to the new sensations and train yourself to call them forth, you will find that turning on that particular engine will get closer and closer to a one step process – ultimately, only to the intention. Imagine getting so good, that it is the power of your clear intention that starts up your body’s instrument.
