Q. What am I doing when I sit myself down to meditate? Help me not compare.
Every person has a different road. Comparison is absolutely irrelevant, unnecessary and completely unhelpful. Your road is your road. As with all experiences that you seek, it is important to be loving, supportive and genuinely happy for those who have attracted it and allowed it to come to pass. It is with a genuinely loving attitude bestowed upon those who are experiencing that which you seek to experience that everything will unfold best for you. Knowing that others can achieve it infers that you can achieve it. Being open to hearing about their experiences, allows you to be more open and accepting of your own. Standing on the shoulders of giants is the expression.
If you want to become a master cellist, you listen to the masters' interpretations of the music, you attend their concerts, you enroll in their master classes, and read their books. You learn about the different paths to mastery. You experiment for yourself to see what works and what doesn’t work for you. You practice new and different ways of expressing yourself. You see what is possible for you. This is the way. Trying new things, exposing yourself to others. This is how life's mysteries are revealed to you, you ask to know about them – revelation. Ask and you shall receive.
You have asked to know and understand about this process of tuning into cosmic consciousness. Yesterday, a clear answer came to you – what you are doing now is training. Training, pure and simple. Every time you sit yourself down to meditate and connect with the field of potential, it is akin to the musician practicing the scales, the finger work, and putting in the time. There will come a time where the music flows freely and you connect yourself to everything.
In your pursuit of the unknown, look to those who have opened themselves up to assist & guide your process. You are learning how to open your unique human door, your particular portal. As you are making discoveries here, you are accustoming yourself to these new sensations. They are intense sensations. They are taking you places you haven’t yet gone. You are exercising your will and courage, curiosity and bravery. It takes momentum and desire to exercise this will. Be proud. Be self respectful. Notice how you are worthy to receive when you receive and be in gratitude and appreciation.
